Securing the Front End
iLinc relies on industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption (https) for front-end transactions, such as user logins and management functions, content uploads and downloads, registrations, scheduling, and other transactions. The iLinc Communications Center can be fully secured using server certificates and SSL, making all your Web conferencing and business collaboration data totally secure. Additionally, when storing certain types of your data, iLinc leverages MD5 encryption.

AES Encryption: Ultimate Security, Maximum Efficiency
iLinc offers Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) encryption that can be implemented at 128 or 256 bit. When joining a live session, the iLinc client downloads an AES encryption key (via SSL to secure the key) and then encrypts all session data using this key. As a result, all session transactions — including text chat, images, audio, video, application sharing data, etc. — are completely secure.

iLinc takes a unique and industry-leading approach to how we implement AES encryption more efficiently. We achieve true end-to-end security by encrypting and decrypting session data at the client level. Your critical data is never left in plain text on a remote server (as it may be with other pure SSL solutions) and since the server acts simply as a conduit for secure packets, there is little or no performance hit on the server and minimal impact on the client. iLinc's AES encryption strategy provides better security, requires less network overhead, and maintains the highest levels of server performance in the industry.
